Time: 11am-2pm

Join Spinal Cord Injury Alberta (SCI-AB) for our annual YYC Summer BBQ on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Fish Creek Park's Glennfield Aspen Site in Calgary. This free community event is an opportunity for individuals with spinal cord injuries and other mobility disabilities, their families, friends, caregivers, and supporters to come together for a fun afternoon of connection, great food, and outdoor activities.

Guests can enjoy a build-your-own gourmet hot dog bar lunch, along with lawn games, a creative craft table featuring take-home projects, community recreation displays, and our popular wheelchair wash! Most importantly, the BBQ provides a welcoming space to meet new people, reconnect with friends, and spend time with fellow community members and SCI-AB staff. 

Check in table will open at 11:00 a.m., with lunch served at 11:45 a.m., and the event wraps up at 2:00 p.m. 

We look forward to celebrating summer together and creating another memorable day of friendship, fun, and community.
